Wingu.Africa has officially launched its new Tier 3 Certified Data Center in Djibouti, marking a significant milestone in the region’s digital transformation. The ceremony was attended by H.E. Ismail Omar Guelleh, President of the Republic of Djibouti, alongside government ministers and key partners, underscoring the importance of this project for the country and the wider East African region.
Located within the T07 Technology Park, this state-of-the-art facility is designed to offer 3 MW of capacity, making it one of the most advanced data centers in the region. It also houses the T07 cable landing station and an Innovation Center, positioning the site as a vital hub for connectivity, technological innovation, and digital infrastructure development in Djibouti.
This new center marks Wingu.Africa’s second carrier-neutral facility in Djibouti, following the successful launch of the Djibouti Data Center in 2013. The addition of this advanced Tier 3 facility highlights Wingu.Africa’s ongoing commitment to meeting the growing demands for reliable, scalable digital infrastructure in the region.

The inauguration ceremony also highlighted the collaborative efforts between Wingu.Africa and its partners at T07, along with the vital support from the Djiboutian government in fostering a business-friendly environment for technological growth.
