Global digital infrastructure investment firm, DigitalBridge has thrown its weight behind Intel’s new independent enterprise AI company, Articul8.
Articul8 plans to offer customers a full-stack, vertically-optimized, GenAI software platform that delivers speed, security and cost-efficiency to help large enterprise customers operationalize and scale AI.
Articul8’s platform builds off the success Intel saw with its proof-of-concept collaboration with Boston Consulting Group.
Articul8 was created with intellectual property (IP) and technology developed at Intel, and the two companies will remain strategically aligned on go-to-market opportunities and collaborate on driving GenAI adoption in the enterprise.
The platform is an evolution of Intel’s successful proof-of-concept collaboration with Boston Consulting Group (BCG). In this earlier project, BCG utilized Intel’s AI supercomputer to develop a foundation model capable of reading and summarizing information from text and images within lengthy, multi-page documents.
The Articul8 platform, built on Intel hardware architectures such as Xeon Scalable Processors and Intel Gaudi accelerators, offers flexibility to support various hybrid infrastructure options.
Arun Subramaniyan, former Vice President and General Manager of Intel’s Data Center and AI Group, assumes the role of CEO for Articul8.
Pat Gelsinger, Intel CEO, expressed excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing Articul8’s potential to deliver significant business outcomes. “With its deep AI and HPC domain knowledge and enterprise-grade GenAI deployments, Articul8 is well positioned to deliver tangible business outcomes for Intel and our broader ecosystem of customers and partners. As Intel accelerates AI everywhere, we look forward to our continued collaboration with Articul8,” he said.
In his comments, Marc Ganzi, DigitalBridge CEO said “Every global enterprise today is challenged to integrate GenAI capabilities into their workflows. Articul8 has built a scalable and easy-to-deploy GenAI software platform that is already enabling enterprises to unlock value from their proprietary data. We see GenAI as a pivotal force driving digital infrastructure, and we are pleased to collaborate with Intel to support Articul8’s growth”.
DigitalBridge Ventures, the venture initiative of DigitalBridge, served as lead investor of Articul8. Other investors in the platform include Fin Capital, Mindset Ventures, Communitas Capital, GiantLeap Capital, GS Futures, and Zain Group.
