Liquid drives AI readiness across Africa with Google Cloud,  Anthropic partnerships

Liquid C2, a leading pan-African technology group, has announced strategic partnerships with global tech leader Google Cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) company Anthropic, aimed to equip African businesses with advanced cloud, cybersecurity, and generative AI capabilities, driving AI readiness across the continent.

Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Google Cloud in November 2023, Liquid C2 is poised to enhance cybersecurity and cloud offerings while introducing businesses to Google Cloud’s latest AI, data, collaboration, and security solutions. This partnership promises heightened security measures, access to cutting-edge cloud technologies, and a strong commitment to safeguarding digital assets.

Liquid C2 will leverage its collaboration with Google Cloud and Anthropic to deliver AI solutions via Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform, enabling businesses to swiftly develop and deploy solutions within their cloud environments. Liquid C2 will also bring Google Workspace to customers, offering cloud-native tools embedded with generative AI capabilities to enhance productivity and collaboration.

By bolstering cybersecurity and integrating GenAI capabilities, Liquid C2 envisions a future where security, collaboration, and innovation converge, creating a safer and more productive digital experience. These collaborations underscore Africa’s emergence as a technological hub, with Liquid C2, Google Cloud, and Anthropic driving progress, innovation, and global investment in the region.

Liquid C2 is also partnering directly with Anthropic to develop AI solutions tailored for large enterprises, leveraging Anthropic’s AI models available in Google Cloud’s Vertex AI. This collaboration aims to empower African businesses across various industries, accelerating growth and positioning Africa as a key player in the digital landscape.

Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, emphasized the transformative potential of generative AI for businesses, reaffirming Google’s commitment to investing in Africa’s digital transformation. “Google’s commitment to investing $1 billion to boost Africa’s digital transformation, our collaborations with market leaders like Liquid C2 and Anthropic will help bring gen AI, security, and other cloud technologies to businesses across the continent. This partnership has the opportunity to transform how African businesses serve and engage their customers as we provide them a foundation for innovation” he said.

Daniela Amodei, President of Anthropic, echoed excitement about bringing frontier AI to African businesses, emphasizing the partnership’s potential to enable growth and innovation. He said: “We’re excited to partner with Liquid C2 and Google Cloud, bringing frontier AI to businesses across Africa. Combining Anthropic’s safe, steerable AI with Google Cloud’s secure, scalable infrastructure means this partnership has huge potential to enable African companies to grow.”
