Liquid C2, the cloud and cybersecurity arm of Cassava Technologies, has been awarded Platinum Partner status by global cybersecurity leader Sophos, marking a major leap forward in its mission to secure Africa’s digital infrastructure.

The Platinum designation, the highest tier in the Sophos Partner Program, spans all of Liquid C2’s operations across the continent. It recognizes the company’s proven expertise in delivering advanced, enterprise-grade cybersecurity solutions to governments, enterprises, and digital platforms navigating Africa’s rapid digital transformation.

“As African businesses grow and evolve, they are exposed to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats,” said Oswald Jumira, CEO of Liquid C2. “Being awarded Sophos Platinum Partner status reflects our determination to protect and empower these organisations as they navigate Africa’s digital future, through world-class technology and an experienced team of cybersecurity professionals.”

With African businesses losing an estimated $4 billion annually to cybercrime, the expanded partnership positions Liquid C2 to address the continent’s growing cybersecurity gap. Through its Security Operations Centres (SOCs), the company offers 24/7 Managed Detection and Response (MDR), threat intelligence, and cyber resilience services tailored to Africa’s infrastructure realities.

“Platinum Partner status recognises an organisation’s deep expertise and commitment to cyber security solutions and services tailored to African enterprises,” said Pieter Nel, Sales Director for SADC & IOC at Sophos. “We are pleased to partner with Liquid as they empower organisations to flourish in a digital era.”

The partnership enables Liquid C2 to deliver flexible, subscription-based solutions with monthly billing, making top-tier protection more accessible for businesses powering Africa’s digital infrastructure, including telecom networks, fintech platforms, government systems, and enterprise cloud deployments
