American technology company Nvidia has unveiled its new artificial intelligence (AI) supercomputer, which fits in the palm of a hand. On Tuesday, Nvidia’s Chief Executive Officer, Jensen Huang revealed its new Jetson Orin Nano Super Developer Kit, which can perform almost two times higher than its predecessor, the Jetson Orin Nano Kit from 2022, and has 50 percent more memory bandwidth, despite being comparable in size to a person’s hand. He says that the supercomputer can be used by “everyone from commercial AI developers, hobbyists, and students,” making it accessible to anyone interested in the technology. The Jetson Nano has been designed to revolutionize robotics and large language model (LLM) applications.

The Jetson Nano Super delivers an astonishing 70 trillion operations per second (TOPS) – a level of performance traditionally reserved for high-end, large-scale computing systems. With this capability, it is poised to handle demanding tasks such as advanced scientific simulations, real-time big data processing, and cutting-edge AI research.

Remarkably, this game-changing technology is priced at just $249, down from its previous cost of $499, making high-performance computing more accessible than ever before.

“The Jetson Nano Super represents a major leap forward in AI computing,” said Jensen Huang. “Its combination of unparalleled performance and affordability empowers the next generation of robotics and AI innovation,” he concluded.
