In partnership with software company, Nvidia, Equinix has launched a fully managed cloud service for enterprises that want to own their AI computing systems.
The partnership allows businesses to acquire and manage their NVIDIA DGX AI supercomputing infrastructure, providing better control over their data compared to renting NVIDIA chips from competitors like Amazon or Microsoft. For the customers, they can meet the rising demand for AI, operate owned infrastructure while maintaining cost efficiencies.
The service offers high-speed private network access to global network service providers for quick Gen AI information retrieval across corporate wide area networks. It also provides private, high-bandwidth interconnections to cloud services and enterprise service providers, ensuring secure and compliant AI workload management. Customers can easily access NVIDIA AI Enterprise software to streamline the development and deployment of production-grade AI applications.
The new offering facilitates the development and operation of custom generative AI (Gen AI) models, catering to the growing demand for AI technology. Equinix, a leading data center company, acknowledges the importance of utilizing AI responsibly and ensuring positive outcomes for users in the era of increased reliance on technologies like Gen AI.
