Mozambican cloud provider Bubble plans to operate services across two availability zones in Maputo City and Beluluane, strengthening redundancy and disaster recovery options for local businesses.
The company said the dual-zone architecture will allow customers to distribute systems and data across separate physical locations, helping services remain operational if one site experiences an outage.
Cameron Smith, Business Development Director at Bubble, announced the development at BFSI Mozambique 2026. He also said Bubble is the first cloud provider in Mozambique to receive an “advanced” license from the country’s National Information and Communication Technology Institute.
Founded in 2023 as an initiative between African technology companies Triana Group and Strategix Group, Bubble provides cloud infrastructure, backup, disaster recovery, infrastructure management and operational support services.
The expansion comes as Mozambique’s data center market continues to develop. Operators with facilities in the country include icolo.io, Raxio, Vodacom Business, Teledata, Seacom and BCX.
Vodacom opened its Mozambican data center in 2025, while Raxio launched its Beluluane facility in 2024.
By operating across two availability zones, Bubble is positioning its platform to support organizations that require greater resilience, local cloud capacity and business continuity for critical workloads.
