Technology entrepreneur and philanthropist Michael Tobin has been awarded a second CBE in the 2025 Birthday Honors List released by Buckingham Palace. His Majesty King Charles III has recognised Tobin for Services to Charity, conferring upon him the title of Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE).

Tobin was previously honored in 2014 for services to the digital economy. In the decade since, he has emerged as a force in corporate philanthropy, raising millions for causes spanning mental health, children’s welfare, education, and veteran support.

“I am honoured to have been awarded a further CBE for Services to Charity in the 2025 Birthday Honours List,” Tobin said. “Thank you to everyone who has supported my endeavours over the years.”

A prominent figure in the global data center and digital infrastructure sector, Tobin has gained recognition for combining business success with social impact. He is known for his bold fundraising efforts, including endurance challenges and high-profile advocacy campaigns, and serves on several corporate and nonprofit boards.

The honour reflects a broader emphasis in this year’s Honours List on social responsibility, civic engagement, and sustainable leadership, key themes championed by King Charles III.
