According to the organizers, the Cyber Hackathon is not just a competition—it’s a call to action for shaping Africa’s digital future. Participants will explore key areas at the intersection of cybersecurity, technology, and innovation, including cybersecurity and AI innovations, upskilling and mentorship for aspiring cybersecurity professionals, strategies for tackling cybersecurity threats unique to Africa, understanding Africa’s evolving regulatory frameworks, and building a resilient cybersecurity ecosystem.
This initiative aims to position Africa as a global leader in cybersecurity by driving investments in talent, capacity development, and necessary policy reforms. Participants will help build a robust, innovative, and secure digital environment across the continent.
The 2024 Cyber Hackathon offers exciting prizes for participants, including a 5-week pre-accelerator program hosted live in Silicon Valley, specialized cybersecurity training and certifications, laptops and cutting-edge tech gadgets, and exclusive gift bags.
