As Nigeria’s fintech sector accelerates its digital transformation, the risks – and stakes – are rising. The CloudReady Nigeria Breakfast (Fintech Edition) is stepping in to meet the moment, gathering top industry leaders for a high-impact roundtable on secure, scalable cloud adoption in one of Africa’s fastest-growing digital economies.

Organized under the theme “Scaling Securely in a Digital-First Nigeria,” the event will be held on August 26, 2025, in Victoria Island, Lagos. It will convene Chief Technical Officers, Chief Information Officers, infrastructure leads, and policy stakeholders for an urgent discussion on infrastructure maturity, regulatory alignment, and security imperatives in Nigeria’s fintech space.

With the Central Bank and data protection regulators pushing for greater compliance and data domiciliation, the need for fintechs to reassess their cloud infrastructure choices has never been more critical. The session will explore what it truly means to be “cloud-native” in the Nigerian context, how to optimize cloud costs without compromising cybersecurity, and how local cloud providers can support regulatory-ready innovation at scale.

The event will feature two core discussions: “Beyond the Buzzword – What ‘Cloud-Native’ really means for Nigerian Fintechs,” which will examine cloud-first strategies, compliance architecture, and resilient infrastructure tailored to Nigeria’s regulatory landscape; and “Scaling Smart – Navigating Cloud, Compliance, and Cost,” which will explore how fintechs can partner with local cloud and managed service providers to meet evolving privacy mandates and scale sustainably.

Confirmed speakers and panelists include Dr. Ayotunde Coker, Chief Executive Officer, Open Access Data Centres; Gbemisola Osunrinde, Chief Executive Officer, SmartComply; Olusola Adenuga, Chief Executive Officer, Olla Systems; Oladejo Olawumi, Director of Infrastructure Solutions, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA); Gbenga Paseda, Managing Director of VFD Tech; Chigozie Amajor, Acting Chief Information Officer, Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System Plc; and Dotun Adekunle, Chief Technical Officer, OPay. The roundtable will also feature an interactive Question & Answer and targeted networking sessions with senior leaders from Nigeria’s top fintechs and microfinance institutions.

The CloudReady Nigeria Breakfast, an initiative by Africa Hyperscalers, is dedicated to accelerating cloud transformation for Nigerian enterprises. This edition moves beyond the hype; bridging the gap between policy, performance, and local capability to drive real-world execution.
