The Wingu Group has announced the second phase of its facility expansion on March 18, 2025, focused on strengthening Tanzania’s digital infrastructure. This upgrade builds on Phase 1, introduced in 2022, enhancing scalability, reliability, and support for the growing digital economy.

Key improvements include doubling rack power capacity to support energy-intensive applications and increasing white space for more racks, pods, and cages. As a carrier-neutral data center, Wingu Group now offers enhanced interconnectivity with two new Meet-Me-Rooms, ensuring clients have flexible connectivity options and improved network reliability.

Security and continuity are bolstered with advanced biometric security systems and a fully redundant Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system, ensuring uninterrupted operations.

Anthony Voscarides, Co-founder and CEO, highlighted the expansion’s role in supporting modern digital operations and advancing the region’s technological landscape. “Our carrier-neutral facility embodies our steadfast commitment to excellence and innovation. It is designed to meet the growing demands of modern digital operations and will drive forward the technological advancement of our region.”

This phase solidifies Wingu Group’s position as a leader in Tanzania’s carrier-neutral data center industry and sets the stage for future innovations in the digital ecosystem.
